The location was great!close to train station and town. The rooms were great and the bed and linens were wonderfull. The breakfast was delicious and real food not just a muffin in a bag or a rubber bagel. most of all the owner was very available and super sweet!!!!
It is a very original family hotel, a nice experience compared to chain hotels of a similar category. It feels more like a guest house rather than a hotel.
As a small family hotel, there is less entertainment (no drinks-bar inside the hotel, no food offered during mid-day and evenings)
This is a super place to stay, our room was spacious & the decor lovely. It had doors leading onto the garden & the bathroom was huge. Florence was busier than we had anticipated & so coming back to this quiet location was a real positive for us. The staff were excellent, courteous & helpful. The breakfast room is lovely & the breakfast was great. Would definitely reccommend to couples looking for a touch of luxury at a good price.
Perfect staff perfect rooms perfect food good access to city by foot gorgeous food advises
The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful in every way possible. Great breakfast in the morning. Quiet neighbourhood but only ten minute walk to the main sites in Florence. Directed to several excellent family restaurants in the evenings.
Everything exceeded our expectations.
Welcoming staff, large luxurious rooms and fitting 45sq mtr!!! Great breakfast and good location Beautiful elegant building
The staff went out of their way to help us rent a car and to point out bus routes, where to walk and any little request we had. Room, especially where the best in Florence and Italy, by far.
They have no control over municipal water and sometimes the pressure is not strong enough, especially in the early morning hours.
A truly lovely place. One of the prettiest old hotels we stayed at on our trip to Italy. Very roomy with nice toiletry amenities and a truly wonderful shower and lovely room decor.
An elevator would be very helpful. We had to drag our luggage up 3 long flights of stairs. But it's an old house and may not be possible. And the receptionist helped with my luggage given that I have asthma. Also per my comment below, there was no shuttle to the airport when it had been noted on Booked.net that there was a shuttle, but the owner of the hotel met with us and explained that with only 6 rooms they couldn't afford to provide a shuttle. We agreed that it was a terminology issue on the web site of Booked.net and I suggested she amend the wording regarding the shuttle.
Good parking on the premises. Huge bathroom. Large comfortable bedrooom. First class breakfast in a lovely breakfast room. Good choice at breakfast. When we arrived we were given lots of useful information by the lady on reception which saved us doing our own research.
No wifi in room. The shower didnt work properly and the toilet flush kept running. Would still go back there if we visited Florence again though.
the most wonderful expierence in the whole vacation. excelent service, large but cosy, nicely decorated room with unexpectly large and modern bathroom. parking, wifi - free of charge. breakfest not includes hot dishes (rather traditional italian) but everything was tasty, served with good taste and nice touch.
Staff are super friendly, room is very nice, and huge too. Breakfast is very nice too.
The only drawback is it's very far from the attractions, I actually have to cab it to uffize, or it would take a 45mins walk. But if you've plenty of time and is in no rush, this place is very nice.
The attentive and helpful staff made us feel very welcome
We had a lovely large room, with a dressing area and huge shower room, but there was only one chair (a dining room chair at that) although the room was large enough to take an easy chair and/or sofa. We feel they could have made the garden more appealing to use.
The villa was a peaceful haven after the bustle of Florence, the staff very helpful, very clean and the breakfast excellent. Would recommend it to anyone who likes a peaceful atmosphere.
- The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. - Unique experience staying in a 'villa' opposed to a hotel room; felt more personal. - Fewer rooms so there was more attention to detail and staff tried to meet your needs as far as possible.
- We paid £20 per day for parking; was not aware of that when we made reservations and would've considered alternative options - The villa was more suburban (not right in city centre but not too far either). It worked for us as we werent spending too much time in Florence however, if you are not keen on walking (20-30 mins into the city) you might want to look at alternative options.
Friendly staff and a peaceful atmosphere - this is a nice thing to come back to at the end of a day out in the crowds in Florence!
It was about 10mins walk from central Florence. But this probably also contributed to the peaceful feel of the Villa, so was not entirely a bad thing.
